Ministry Assistant (Year-Round, Full-Time)

Camp Luther is currently seeking applicants to serve as our next Ministry Assistant. The ministry assistant supports essential ministry functions such as, but not limited to, assisting with camper registration and group reservations, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, working with our accounting firm, payroll, managing donations, file management, and generating various reports. Applicants must have experience working with databases and financial software, customer service, phone communication skills, and be willing to work on a ministry team committed to sharing the good news about Jesus.

Director of Discipleship

Camp Luther is accepting nominations for Director of Discipleship. Nominations must be submitted online before April 29th.

Are you or do you know someone who is passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus and thrives on equipping God’s children to be lifelong disciples? If so, we invite you to consider joining our team or nominating a candidate to serve at Camp Luther! As a vital part of our ministry, the Director of Discipleship plays a crucial role in impacting lives for Christ and fostering spiritual growth.

Primary duties include providing Christ-centered leadership for all programming and operations, hiring and discipling seasonal staff, identifying areas of growth and innovation, working with ministry partners to coordinate events, ensuring the safety of campers, and promoting ministries. Summer Kitchen Manager

The Summer Kitchen Manager is responsible for creating menus, ordering food and supplies, managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality, managing food allergies, and ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen. The hours are flexible, 20-30 hours a week, from May 13th to August 4th (dates are flexible). College Summer Staff (May - August)

Each summer, Camp Luther hires approximately twenty staff members. Young adults can apply to work as cabin counselors, supervising and facilitating activities for youth camp, family camp, and His Kids, or as program assistants, leading the staff and assisting the program director. Other available positions are head cook, maintenance assistant, and media tech.

Camp Luther participates in joint recruitment with other camps affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod around the country. College students can apply for employment at Camp Luther at nloma.org by filling out a Summer Service Profile and marking Camp Luther - NE as their first choice.

High School Summer Staff (May - August)

Camp Luther hires 3-5 high school students to serve as part of the summer staff team. These individuals must be currently in 9-12 grade. Paid positions available include kitchen assistant, maintenance assistant, and media tech. This is a great opportunity for students who think they may want to work at camp sometime in the future as a counselor or in another role. Camp assistants will work in their specific area between breakfast and dinner, spending one hour during that time period and the rest of the day assisting counselors with camp activities.

Program Interns (August-November, January-May)

Camp Luther is looking for two interns to assist in day-to-day operations. The primary roles of the program interns are to assist in hosting groups (bible studies, music, activities, challenge course, etc.), chapel visits, housekeeping, and food service. Program assistants may also be asked to assist in maintenance, office work, and other tasks as needed. We are looking for Christ-centered workers that work well in a team setting, enjoy serving others, and are passionate about sharing God’s love in word and deed. Housing and many meals are provided with a salary of $250 per week.
